Watch Mumford & Sons Drink From The Stanley Cup
Mumford & Sons drank from a special cup on June 19.
The British rock band was supposed to perform at Cricket Hill at Montrose Beach in Chicago on June 17, but had to cancel because of bad weather. Coincidentally, that was the same night that the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup.
The band ended up performing two nights later at the same venue with a group of special guests: the Chicago Blackhawks. According to Relix, Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews asked each member of Mumford & Sons to take a "little sip" of an unnamed liquid (presumably a shot of hard liquor or swig of beer) from the trophy.
The Stanley Cup is notoriously germ-covered thanks to the many people who kiss and hold it — Toews even made a comment that he didn't know where the cup had been for the past few days. But more importantly, what did Mumford & Sons drink?
