Do They Really Have Cheese-Flavored Syrup At Australian Starbucks'?
We've certainly seen some interesting flavors of Starbucks drinks, from everyone's favorite Pumpkin Spice latte. There's also the Chestnut Praline latte, the Strawberries and Cream Frappuccinos, and the sickly-sweet toffee nut syrup flavor. But a Redditor recently shared a photo of cheese-flavored syrup, supposedly from Australia, that has since gone viral. Sounds pretty gross, but is it for real? Speculation surfaced that perhaps it was cheese-flavored ala a cheese Danish, which would certainly go well with our morning pastry.
The Daily Meal has since contacted Starbucks about the photo, and although Starbucks Australia has not gotten back to us yet, the Redditor who posted the photo confirmed that the syrup was likely for the Starbucks strawberry cheesecake flavor and that the manufacturer was "too lazy" or ran out of room to print cheesecake on the label. This certainly sounds like a more logical conclusion, but we can dream about brie-pouring baristas, can't we?
