Chart: Here's What 200 Calories Look Like In Different Foods

Whether you're counting calories or not, it's a good idea to have some idea about how quickly your daily calories can add up, and what form they take.

In this handy visual from Wise Geek (click for the full view), you can compare what 200 calories looks like in a bunch of different foods, from fresh fruit and produce, to Tootsie Pops, to butter (a thick slab, and that's it).

What's' shocking is the difference in amount of food (mass, technically, since these items are measured in grams) that clocks in at 200 calories. For instance, just half a Jack in the Box Cheeseburger (75 grams) is the calorie equivalent to two heads of broccoli (588 grams), or 10 pieces of Werther's Originals (50 grams), or one avocado (125 grams).

If nothing else, use this chart as a guide to your future snacking habits, and consider all the mix-and-match opportunities.
