New York City's First-Ever Hotel Week
New York City broke a record last year by welcoming more than 50 million visitors to its legendary skyline. And in an effort to keep that going, eight hotels are participating in the city's (and the country's) first-ever "hotel week," Jan. 6-15, which works much the same way as restaurant week.
Hotel week has three tiers of hotels that offer one-night stays for $100, $200, or $250. That could mean one night in a spectacular hotel that was too pricey before, the highlight of a staycation for New York locals, or a good enough reason to choose one of these hotels over another place to stay. Plus, it means a solid getaway plan in advance for Martin Luther King Day weekend.
The hotels on offer are:
$100:
The Pod Hotel
Z Hotel NYC
The Hotel @ Times Square
Nyma, the New York Manhattan Hotel
$200:
Andaz Wall Street
Hyatt 48 Lex
$250:
Gansevoort Meatpacking District
Gansevoort Park Avenue
Some of our food and drink highlights from the participating hotels include Wall & Water at the Andaz Wall Street, Lexington Brass (pictured) at the newly opened Hyatt 48 Lex, Winston's Champagne Bar at the Gansevoort Park Avenue, and the always-open Lounge at the Pod Hotel.
