We caught up with London-based and recently nominated British Menswear Designer of the Year, Oliver Spencer. Known for his tailoring and quintessential English style, his clothes are worn by Hollywood's top men, including actor Jon Hamm, and an eclectic group of musicians including The Rolling Stones to Mumford and Sons. We asked Oli about his passions and where his favorite places are in London and beyond.

AD : Where is your favorite place to travel?
OS : Turkey, Istanbul.

AD : Besides fashion, do you have other passions?
OS : Music, I love going out to see live music. I like to cook myself and wish I was as good as Jamie Oliver!

AD : Where do you go for live music in London?
OS : Shepherds Bush Empire is my favorite venue for music.

AD : And when you're not cooking for yourself?
OS : The Dock of Harrow Road is my new favorite restaurant.

AD : Do you check out the fashion trends wherever you go and do they influence you when creating a line?
OS : No, I look at the traditional clothing in the places that I travel.

AD : Your top picks for stores around the world...the short list.
OS : I'm still a big fan of Odin. Those guys do a great job. Anthem is my new favorite in London. I also love the Excelsior in Milan.
