Mojo Tapas Restaurant & Bar In St. Louis Closes

Unfortunately for St. Louis tapas lovers, Mojo Tapas Restaurant & Bar has closed.

The restaurant, which opened in Spring 2010 in the South Grand commercial district, received praise from several St. Louis food critics for its self-titled "sexy magic food," which included items like tapas, sandwiches, sliders, desserts, and a variety of wines, domestic, import, and craft beers, and specialty cocktails.

The restaurant announced its closing on its Facebook page on Monday morning stating that "they will no longer be servin' up everyone's favorite Shrimp and Grits,. We wished we would have had more time to and had hoped to plan a big ol' party and go out with a bang; unfortunately time just wasn't on our side. Again, we graciously thank you for all the support through the years and certainly to those of you that made it out last week for a quiet last hurrah...Keep it sexy folks...farewell..."

The announcement was met by a series of disappointed comments from the restaurant's Facebook fans, many of who claimed that Mojo was their favorite restaurant in St. Louis.
