Mariah Carey Eats Pastry At Her Twins' Parisian 1st Birthday

Mariah Carey is a true diva and it seems she's passing the baton to her kids already. 

The singer and her husband Nick Cannon whisked their adorable twins off to Paris to celebrate their first birthday with a luxe soirée. The couple decked out their suite at The Plaza Athenee with pink and blue balloons and décor, popped champagne, and ate custom-made French pastries with their guests.

The entire family wore color-coordinated outfits in shades of cream and ivory to match. And while the party was definitely about Monroe and Moroccan, the trip to Paris was to celebrate two special occasions. Carey and Cannon also renewed their wedding vows on their fourth anniversary in front of the Eiffel Tower. 

An over-the-top Parisian party for your tots would be a dream, we're sure, but this theme (albiet perhaps a lower-budget version) is achievable at home! Set a lace-lined table with macarons, éclairs, and petits fours while the kids munch on tea sandwiches and croissants. 

Paint the party in pastel colors, add a hint of black and lace trimming, and voilà! A classic French affair.
