Madonna And New Boy Toy Stay On Maria Callas's Yachthotel In Rotterdam

Aging pop icon Madonna and her new 25-year-old boy toy, Dutch dancer Timor Steffens, stayed on opera legend Maria Callas' former luxury yacht-turned-hotel on a recent visit to Steffens' hometown of Rotterdam. Now called The Maria Callas Yachthotel Rotterdam, the floating four-star hotel was once the famed opera diva's yacht Azulon. Built in Spain in 1963, the 66-foot cruiser was formerly used as a tender for Callas' lover Aristotle Onassis's massive luxury yacht Christina O. The yacht's owner Willem Post told the Daily Mail that he only recognized the superstar when she came to breakfast with Steffens the next morning.

"A blonde woman in an expensive bathrobe and a young guy came to the table," Post said. "When I realized it was Madonna, I pretended I didn't recognize her. I only spoke with her briefly. She found Rotterdam a beautiful city with unique architecture and was interested in the history of the ship."

Madonna was once planning to play Callas in a movie about the famed signer. The pair traveled to the Netherlands after attending designer Valentino's New Year's Eve party in Gstaad. In addition to the yacht, they dined at a chic Japanese restaurant and also stayed at the Hotel New York, before flying off on Madonna's private jet.
