The Lake Show is back in action this Tuesday as they tip-off their season against Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets. This game heralds the return of Kobe Bryant after missing the end of last season with a torn Achilles tendon. Jeremy Lin, Carlos Boozer and rookie Julius Randle will also be making their debuts in purple and gold after being added to the team during the off-season. Game time starts at 7:30 p.m. inside the Staples Center and tickets are going for $72 and up online.

Wearing masks isn't just a once-a-year occurrence for the luchadores of Lucha VaVoom, in fact these wrestlers don their masks every time they step into the squared circle. Lucha VaVoom is hosting a special event, "Night Of The Vampire," this Wednesday at the Mayan Theater on S. Hill Street. The show is described as, "A Halloween spectacle of Mexican masked wrestling & saucy striptease." Comedians Blaine Capatch, Bobcat Goldthwait and Dana Gould will also be on hand for comic relief breaks in-between matches. Eric Idle from the original cast of Monty Python says, "There's no show that's funnier, sillier or more entertaining than this one." The show starts at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are available through the official Lucha VaVoom website.

Come celebrate the 31st at the largest Halloween street party in the world! Santa Monica Boulevard will be hosting its annual Halloween Carnaval again this year and nearly 500,000 people are expected to attend this year's installment. The carnaval will feature live entertainment and 13 different food trucks serving up lobster, fish tacos and everything in between. Get In The Middle With Jimmy Eat WorldDate: Sunday, November 2
Jimmy Eat World is playing Club Nokia @ LA Live on West Olympic Boulevard this Sunday. This band was an early staple of the pop-punk scene that swept the music industry in the early 2000's. Jimmy Eat World's mega-hit, "The Middle," climbed all the way to the top spot on the Billboard US Alternative Songs Chart in 2002. Their 2001 album, Bleed American, reached platinum status in the U.S. while their 2004 release, Futures, went gold. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are available starting at $57.
