KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Bring Chef Richard Van Oostenbrugge's French Techniques To Their World Business Class Flights
Passengers on KLM World Business Class flights departing from Amsterdam are getting some new cuisine options thanks to Dutch chef Richard van Oostenbrugge. Having officially begun on October 26, the Royal Dutch Airlines' new meals will be available until January 22, 2015, so you have more than enough time to try them out. Not sure what to expect? These photos are a pretty good start.
"I am truly honored to be involved in this exceptional partnership. My Sous Chef Thomas Groot and I have developed a menu that literally elevates to new heights the unique dishes of Bord'Eau. Working with the team at KLM, we will provide a fabulous, worldwide culinary experience," says Richard van Oostebrugge.
Chef Oostebrugge is known for his very precise French techniques and in 2011, began working as the Executive Chef for Bord'Eau at the five-star hotel De L'Europe in Amsterdam. Most recently, he's been named Chef of the Year by French restaurant guide Gault & Millau.
"KLM is delighted to be working with leading chef Richard van Oostenbrugge. He will fit in perfectly at KLM. Like KLM, he is Dutch with international allure. Richard has developed a wonderful menu for our WBC passengers," says EVP Inflight Services, Paul Elich.
