ICON's E-Flyer II Colorfully Improves Upon The Original Edition Of Its Electric Bike
The ICON E-Flyer II electric bike may be cool enough to compete with even the swankiest electric supercar. For those fortunate worker bees with short commutes, this bike makes the trip faster, easier and cooler. You don't really need a commuting excuse to want this bike though. (Did we mention this bike was cool?)
The E-Flyer II keeps the same sleek retro-meets-modern body that we're used to seeing on bicycles, but is available in nine different colors—including Mayan Sun, Eucalyptus, and Rocky Mountain. The updated design also uses EV technology, regenerative braking, and has exceptional battery power that apparently lasts up to 35 miles of sustained propulsion on a single charge.
This second edition also comes with tons of extra features and options (besides coloring). You can choose to keep the bike equipped for Street Mode with a top speed of 20mph, or upgrade it to the Race Mode and reach top speeds of 36mph. Race Mode also comes with a machined key to unlock the bike's power source—without the key it rides in the standard mode. You can also opt for add-ons, such as Pedal Assist, a rear LED light, a rear rack, or several rear bag styles.
Like its predecessor, ICON is only making 50 pieces, which means you need to get a move quickly if you want to get your hands on this sweet, sweet ride. The E-Flyer II starts at $5,000.
