Guiltless Gourmet At Cooking Light's 'Light Up The Night'

Trying to stick to a diet and haven't been able to enjoy a meal out cooked by your favorite chef? Cooking Light magazine just announced their first ever "Light Up the Night" event (coinciding with their 25th anniversary), which will bring together celebrity chefs as well as master mixologists to serve up health-ified versions of their most delicious food and drink recipes.

The event, which will take place on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 on the Chelsea Market Passage of New York's High Line, will feature chefs like Michael Anthony (recently named "Best Chef NYC" by the James Beard Foundation), Dan Kluger of ABC Kitchen, Brandon Sharp of Solbar in Napa, and Suvir Saran of Michelin-starred Devi and Bravo's Top Chef Masters.

Mixologists will include Pascaline Lepeltier of Rouge Tomate and Jim Meehan of PDT, both of whom will present a variety of custom light cocktails to complement the chefs' dishes.

At $100 a pop, tickets aren't super cheap, but a portion of all ticket sale proceeds will benefit FoodCorps, Cooking Light's featured charity. FoodCorps works to improve childhood health by working directly with schools to create a healthier food environment.
