Although Summer may be officially over, there's still time to enjoy some outdoor fun under the stars. Throughout the month of September, Street Food Cinema offers Angelenos a chance to get outside, take in a popular movie, listen to live music from some of the top bands and dine on offerings from some of the city's best food trucks. The weekly event, which goes until September 27th, 2014 and alternates venues, features well known movies along with delectable eats making it one of the city's best kept secrets.

Every Saturday until September 27th, Street Food Cinema will be showing a popular movie on their large 40 foot screens. With L.A. being blessed with great weather almost year-round, you can be sure that it will be a perfect night to grab a blanket and catch a flick along with some delectable food from terrific food vendors. With weekly showings in choice venues around the city, some weeks offer movies in 2 locations for your convenience. So, no matter where you live, you'll have a chance to stop by for a perfect evening on the grass and under the stars.

What To Eat

One of the greatest parts of Street Food Cinema is the food. With a different assortment of some of the best food trucks in the city making their presence at the event, you can be sure that no matter what week it is, you will be satisfied with the delicious food. Dine on tacos from Border Grill, lobster from Cousin's Maine Lobster, hotdogs from Dogtown Dogs as well as an array of desserts from vendors like Manhattan Beach Creamery. In addition to the food trucks, Street Food Cinema also offers 'The Market' which features noteworthy artisanal foods at select events such as crepe's, kettle corn and more!

Live Music

While most patrons go for the movies and food, the live music at Street Food Cinema is a major plus, drawing some of today's top bands from all over the country. From the duo Cashew & Cleary and their Eagles-esq sound to jazz inspired Moonchild, the weekly event brings some serious top talent that's a great warm up for an exciting evening ahead.

Tickets

Attending Street Food Cinema is easy. If you're interested in attending, you can purchase tickets online by visiting their Schedule and selecting the movie you're interested in seeing. Tickets are $17 for reserved (premium reserved area on the lawn) or $12 for general seatings (general admission ticket – seating is on a first come, first serve basis). In addition, you can also purchase child reserved tickets for $11 which give access to the premium reserved area on the lawn or general admission child tickets for just $6. Limited tickets are available at the door as well, although it's cash only and the event may sell out.
