Goldbely Raises $3 Million To Help Bring Food From Anywhere Right To Your Door

What happens if you find yourself in San Francisco, but are desperate for a half-smoke from Ben's Chili Bowl in Washington, D.C.? Or if you find yourself in Dallas, but want to host a dinner party with pastrami from Katz's in New York? Until recently, you'd be out of luck. But now a company called Goldbely is partnering with some of the country's leading restaurants to help them ship their flagship food items anywhere, and they've just raised $3 million in seed money from Intel Capital, VentureBeat reported.

They've already partnered with plenty of leading restaurants, and are hoping that this new round of funding allows them to add even more to their roster. But the amount of amazing food that you can now have shipped directly to your door is already staggering. Steaks from New York's Peter Luger, ice cream sandwiches from San Francisco's It's-It, barbecue from Texas' Salt Lick, ribs from Memphis' Rendezvous, beignets from Café du Monde, burgers from Pat LaFrieda, wings from Buffalo's Anchor Bar... the list goes on and on, and is only going to get better.

Once upon a time, if you wanted that cult-favorite food, you were forced to actually go to the physical restaurant and order it. And while there's nothing like having the experience of dining in the legendary restaurant, it's incredibly cool that now you can bring the restaurant right to you, no matter where you are.
