George Clooney Hand Delivers Casamigos Tequila To Hotel Cipriani, Venice
The world already loves George Clooney through his film and humanitarian work, but now you can love him through tequila! Casamigos Tequila is the award-winning love child of Clooney and his old friend Rande Gerber (a restaurant and bar mogul) and if you're staying in the Hotel Cipriani in Venice, you can try some out yourself.
Carrying the slogan "Brought to you by those who drink it," cases of the tequila were delivered to the Venice Film Festival last month by Clooney and Gerber, inviting guests and paparazzi to try some out. Meant to be shared amongst friends, Casamigos (roughly translating to "house of friends") is meant to be sipped without the addition of salt or lime.
The two friends have been enjoying Casamigos privately for many years, but finally made it available to the public in January. Since, the brand has grown widely popular, with even Oprah hailing it as her favorite tequila, and was awarded the Gold Medal from the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.
Cipriani is the first hotel in Europe to offer this famed spirit to guests, so if you want to drink it like Clooney, ask for it on the rocks and sit back with some friends to enjoy.
