I don't know about you, but when I think of an attic, I think of The Goonies and scary movies, not gimlets and sexy dance parties. LA is changing our view on attics with the introduction of Genesis, the secret nightclub above Sassafras.
Starting as a pop-up nightclub this summer, Genesis became so popular, Founder of Genesis, Jeremy Fall, decided to make the club a permanent fixture.

When you arrive, ascend the candle lit stairwell, and enter the vintage attic scene, filled with oil portraits, taxidermy, old piano parts and anything else you'd imagine is in your grandparents' attic. Only difference? Rock'n tunes, barrels of booze, a disco ball and groov'n peeps.
With music ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Kanye West to Madonna, and cocktails the way you like 'em, Fall has truly taken nightlife to a new level and created an unpretentious art out of it.

It's not just the speakeasy-vibe that makes this hot spot different from the others on Hollywood Blvd. though. Here you won't have to pay a cover, get bottle service, dress up or sell your soul to get in. Just show up (or make a reservation, at RSVP@wtfisgenesis.com, if you want priority entry) and be prepared for one solid dance party.
Didn't think vintage could be so sexy, did ya?
