Garth Brooks' Minneapolis Concert Stint Goes To 11

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If Garth Brooks stays in Minnesota any longer, he's going to have to consider applying to homestead Target Center.

OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but on Tuesday morning, Brooks did announce yet another concert date for the Twin Cities, bringing the total number of shows up to a very Spinal Tap-worthy 11.

Brooks just revealed to BUZ'N 102.9's Paul Koffy that this latest concert add would take place on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. Tickets for that show will go on sale this Friday.

Last Friday turned into quite a ticket-buying frenzy for Brooks fans. While they waited patiently on the phone or in virtual waiting rooms, Target Center kept announcing more concert dates. Four shows at the Target Center in Minneapolis were initially announced for Nov. 14 and 15, with two shows each night — one at 6:30 p.m. and another at 10:30 p.m. On Friday morning, a fifth show was added on Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Within hours, Target Center said that Brooks was adding five more shows from Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, bringing the total to 10.

The shows mark Brooks' first time performing in the city in 16 years.

Maintaining his pledge to keep ticket prices as affordable as possible, Brooks has set the price for each seat, no matter where it's located, at $70.50 including service charges. Tickets can only be purchased online at www.axs.com/garth or by calling 1-855-411-4849. No tickets will be available at the venue box office.
