Furry Tails: Sparty Is Searching For A Good Home

Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Sparty

Animal Friends

Sparty is a special dog in need of a special home where he can live out his golden years! Though blind and suffering from some hearing loss, he's not short on love or friendship. Could your home be his forever home?

Animal Friends says:
"We know that people and pets need each other. Sparty is a very special senior dog who needs a human companion more than most. He is blind and has experienced some hearing loss.

"Sparty is always ready to go for a short walk at the edge of our woods and whenever he hears one of our volunteers walking toward his kennel he patiently stands at his door hoping they are coming for him. Whether it's lounging outside on the soft grass with them or having one of them read to him in his kennel, he's happy to have the companionship.

"Sparty recently received a wonderful gift from a charitable organization called Muffin's Halo. Sparty's "halo" is a harness that helps him navigate through the world. His "halo" has given him more confidence and helps protect him as he walks. Visit Muffin's Halo's website here.

"Sparty deserves a loving home where he knows he is cherished and we are committed to finding it. An adult home will be best for Sparty, and we can help with information and guidance on how to live with a blind dog. Someone believes in him so much that they have sponsored his adoption in honor of Animal Friend and mentor Joseph Deible.

"If you are that special person who can make Sparty's dream of finding a forever home come true, contact one of our adoption counselors and arrange to meet him."
