Free Coffee And Pancakes!

They say there's no such thing as a free lunch, but apparently there is such a thing as free coffee and breakfast. Seamless Web and IHOP are each separately running promotions over the next two months that will either fill your stomach or get you caffeinated.

For the third year running, restaurant delivery service Seamless Web is offering to foot your coffee bill. There's no catch. You don't even have to sign up for the site to participate (though if you do, you can get $5 off your first order). New Yorkers can enjoy free coffee throughout February and March; just check the site for participating restaurants. Anyone in Boston and D.C. can join in on the fun since Seamless Web will be handing out complimentary cups via coffee truck (pulling into Boston this week and D.C. next week).

Separately, as part of the International House of Pancakes' "Stacks for Good Acts" competition, IHOP will reward one winner with a year's supply of pancakes. IHOP is asking pancake lovers to enter a short story online describing a good deed that they, or someone else did in 2010. The winner is eligible to receive one short stack of buttermilk pancakes per day for 365 days. And on March 1st (National Pancake Day) IHOP will be handing out a free short stack of pancakes and asking customers to make a donation to the Children's Miracle Hospitals.
