Food Truck For Dogs Rolls Into Boston
Slow Cooked Chicken with Carrots and Peas, Filet Mignon, and Short Ribs? These meals sound like classic creature comforts, and they are — just not for creatures of the human variety.
Nope, these are all upscale dog food flavors brought to you by Chef Michael, a Purina brand dog-food chef who thinks "what your dog eats should be just as remarkable as who your dog is."
His dog-empowerment philosophy has spread to the very human world of food trucks — now man and his four-legged best friend can chow on some morsels from a four-wheeled mobile eatery. Chef Michael plans to deliver his canine cuisine from the "Chef Michael's Food Truck" starting on Sunday, July 1 in Boston's SoWa Open Market in the South End from 11a.m to 1p.m. There will also be lunch options for hungry dog owners, as well as pet-inspired activities on-site and samples of Chef Michael's new "Carvery Creations."
The dog food truck has plans to stop in other Boston locales, and who knows — maybe the open road will call the truck to traverse other cities nationwide and unleash a doggie dining revolution.
