For many people, the words "New York,” conjures images of yellow cabs, Broadway signs, and skyscrapers overlooking the Hudson River. For residents, and tourists, of the Finger Lakes region, New York is something else entirely.

While Forbes may have posed the question whether Virginia is the "East Coast Napa," here at The Daily Meal, we think the Finger Lakes region of New York State should be taken into consideration for this title.
