Find. Eat. Drink. Travel App Gives Top Food Picks From Celebrity Chefs
Ever wish you could ask your favorite chef where he or she eats and drinks? New travel and food app Find. Eat. Drink. aims to put the culinary community right on food lovers' smartphones. The free app claims to be the first travel app curated by top chefs, pitmasters, sommeliers, bartenders, baristas, and food artisans.
The app features 2,100 restaurants, bars, coffee shops, food shops, and markets in 120 cities in the U.S. and abroad, including Atlanta, Charleston, S.C., Miami, New Orleans, and New York. International cities include Barcelona, London, and Montreal.
"People always ask me where I go to eat this and that," says Dale Talde, chef-owner of TALDE, Pork Slope, and Thistle Tavern in Brooklyn, N.Y. Now users can find out. For example, Talde recommends Sunrise Mart East Village in New York for buying key Japanese ingredients.
Le Bernardin's Eric Ripert recommend bakery Maison Kayser for a French escape in New York, Bobby Flay suggests El Palacio de Los Jugos in Miami for delicious juices and Cuban food, and pastry chef Francois Payard recommends Motorino for his favorite pizza.
The app is available on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
