This cup and saucer tattoo belongs to Louis Tomlinson, member of the boy band One Direction. Tomlinson posted a picture of his forearm ink on Instagram, writing: “You can’t go to bed…” a reference to the band’s hit song, “Little Things,” which references drinking tea before bed. Also, the musician has said Yorkshire tea is his favorite.
Ketchup, anyone? Actor Jackson Rathbone of Twilight fame has a large tattoo of a Heinz ketchup bottle on his right leg. He showed off the condiment ink to talk show host Wendy Williams, explaining he “just loves ketchup.”
Apparently ketchup is a popular idea for a tattoo. Singer Ed Sheeran got a Heinz ketchup label inked on his left bicep in September 2012 to remember the start of a U.S. tour. MTV reports the Grammy nominee once tweeted, “No one is too good for ketchup. Ketchup is too good for you.”
Katy Perry has two food-themed tats! She has a smiling strawberry tattoo on the inside of her left ankle, which may reference her “Hello Katy” tour, where she frequently used inflatable strawberries as a prop. Her other food tat is a red and white swirled peppermint candy on her right ankle. The peppermint ink is also smiling, a sweet match for that strawberry on the pop star’s other ankle.
Another 1D star, Harry Styles, has over 50 tattoos, including one on the underside of his left bicep of an Iced Gem Cookie, a British biscuit. The tattoo is thought to honor his sister Gemma, whose childhood nickname was Gem, like the cookie.
Ice cream is cool and sweet but who figured an ice cream cone would be a great face tattoo? Rapper Gucci Mane got the chilly ink on his right cheek, featuring the word “Brrr.” His publicist told Rolling Stone the tat symbolized how Mane lived his life, “Cool as ice.”
