Eataly Offers 25 Percent Cut On Wine Before 6-Month Closure

In advance of Eataly Vino's six-month closure mandated by the State Liquor Authority, the wine shop is offering its entire selection which includes more than a thousand bottles and cases of wine from Italy and New York, a few of which are only found at Eataly, at a 25 percent discount.

The closure is part of a penalty imposed against the Batali and Bastianich Hospitality Group and the "interlocking interests" amongst its restaurants. The restaurant group was also subject to a $500,000 fine. The penalty from the State Liquor Authority will not affect Eataly or any other of the group's other restaurants.

Eataly Vino will close on Sunday, April 13th, and will re-open sometime in October, an Eataly sales associate told DNA Info.  For every bottle sold, Eataly will donate a dollar to the New York Food Bank.
