Woman Arrested For Drinking Wine, Eating Rotisserie Chicken While Riding Shopping Cart Around Walmart

Josseleen Lopez, a woman in Lecanto, Florida, was arrested this weekend after she was found in a local Walmart drinking a bottle of wine and eating food from the shelves, all while riding a motorized shopping cart.

Lopez, 25, was spotted by one of Walmart's loss prevention officers carrying a half empty bottle of wine in her shopping cart, though a police report described Lopez as having consumed two bottles of wine by the time she was arrested.

Surveillance footage of Lopez's exploits showed the shoplifter eating sushi, mini muffins, and cinnamon rolls, as well as most of a rotisserie chicken. In total, Lopez, who told authorities that she is homeless, is estimated to have consumed around $32 worth of food during her crime spree.

Police, who also found syringes in Lopez's possession, subsequently arrested her on shoplifting and drug paraphernalia charges. She is being held on $1,000 bond.
