Where To Celebrate Christmas In Portland, Oregon

Are your relatives coming to town for the holiday and you want to give them the true taste of Portland? Are you sick of the standard family gathering and need a change? Do you have a new S.O. and are unsure of your holiday cooking prowess? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, here are some recommendations to make your holiday a scrumptious and relaxing one:

The Country Cat
Start the Christmas Eve festivities off right with brunch at The Country Cat. Enjoy classics such as eggs Benedict or try a Southern favorite, such as the celebrated cast iron skillet fried chicken.

Bowery Bagels
Need something for Christmas morning? Stop by Bowery Bagels for your certified Kosher, New York-style bagels and schmears. Make sure to try their wildly popular MSG (Miso, Soy, and Ginger) bagel with a kimchi schmear for a unique bagel experience.

Acadia Bistro
Acadia Bistro will host a Christmas Eve Réveillon dinner, where chef and owner Adam Higgs will serve four courses of traditional and modern classic Cajun and Creole dishes, including housemade Tur-duck-hen, Madeline pie, and turtle soup.

Cocotte
Chef Kat Le Sueur of Cocotte has created an intimate, Christmas Eve French-inspired bistro dinner. The three featured menus are a "de la jardin" (vegetarian); "de la mer" (seafood) and "de Cocotte" (house signature dishes); additional à la carte items will also be available.

Streetcar Bistro & Taproom
Streetcar Bistro & Taproom would like you to join them for a festive Christmas Eve event. Live music will accompany four courses, including a main course of short ribs with mushroom risotto and broccolini.

Levant
For a Christmas Eve with a taste of the Middle East, head to Levant for an exotic meal of hearth-roasted lamb for the table or a five-course chef's choice dinner.

Bluehour
Bluehour is serving a prix fixe Christmas Eve dinner featuring a special three-course menu. Entrée choices include ragu of winter squash, smoked duck breast, wild steelhead, or pan-seared New York steak.

The Heathman; Jantzen Beach Bar and Grill; Urban Farmer
On Christmas day, The Heathman Restaurant and Bar will be serving both a buffet and a prix fixe dinner; Jantzen Beach Bar and Grill in the Red Lion on the Columbia River will serve a buffet with a view; and Urban Farmer in The Nines hotel will be serving a holiday special menu in addition to their full dinner menu.
