What To Eat, See, And Experience While Taking In The Beachside Sights In Monterey, California

We love visiting the California coast, and one our favorite and most cherished places to visit while there is the incredibly beautiful town of Monterey, located about two hours south of San Francisco. On our trip, we chose to stay at The Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on the Del Monte Golf Course, which is a gem among the variety of accommodations in the area.

We often travel with our beloved pets; that said, finding a pet-friendly hotel is always a top priority for us. The Hyatt is a pet-friendly hotel that attracts many travelers and their canine companions on vacation in Monterey. The hotel's two full-sized swimming pools are a favorite among the guests, along with the adjoining hot tub, shuffle board, and game areas. If swimming is not your thing, you can take in a game of tennis at one of the six hotel's well-maintained hardcourts , or work out in the 24-hour fitness room. Need space for a conference or a big meeting? There's a 40,000 square-foot space and a full staff dedicated to making sure the event goes smoothly. And of course, there is the gorgeous 18-hole golf course that is available for guests to enjoy.

After a busy day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium or Cannery Row, food is always a good idea. If you're craving Italian, TusCA Ristorante offers an upscale dining experience, adjacent to sweeping views of the golf course. The emphasis here is farm-to-table freshness, influenced by the flavors of Tuscany. The restaurant also features a wine list that showcases both Italian and local wines, including a lovely McIntyre Pinot Noir.

Knuckles Sports Bar is one of the Monterey's favorite Sports Bars and is a relaxing place to hang out, enjoy a nice cold beer, and munch on some hot popcorn from its complimentary popcorn machine. Specials include $4 drafts and $4 appetizers, which are guaranteed to make game day even better. If a casual meal is what you want, the Fireside Lounge next to the front lobby of the Hyatt is a great place to unwind and watch golfers tee off on the green. Weekends get busy at the hotel lounge, as both tourists and locals pile in to enjoy live music in a lively atmosphere.

For those who love to pamper themselves, the Marilyn Monroe Spa is a must. Glamour abounds as you enter the vibrant and welcoming spa at the Hyatt. After a day on the beach, a massage or facial will have you glowing with the famed Marilyn sizzle and get you ready for a night of dining and dancing on the Monterey Peninsula.

Monterey showcases some of the best eco-tourism, dining, and outdoor activities in the country and finding the right hotel to relax and rejuvenate is a must. Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on the Del Monte Golf Course maybe the right place for you, your family, and of course, your most beloved pet.
