The romantic and exotic Nirvana is tucked away on Wilshire Boulevard in the middle of Beverly Hills. The restaurant is known for its authentic Indian fare, but the intimate atmosphere is also a big draw.
Diners can choose to eat on the front outdoor patio, lounge by several fireplaces for cocktails, relax on one of six canopied beds, or dine al fresco in the back garden.
There is also a glass-enclosed V.I.P. room housing floor pillows and a daybed.
The large space is decorated with statues, watercolors, deities, and Kama Sutra rituals engraved in stone carvings. A river embedded in the floor flows throughout the restaurant ending at a huge Buddha waterfall.
Menu favorites include a variety of samosas, kebabs, and curries, as well as Chilean seabass tandoori, sikandri raan (a whole marinated leg of lamb), and a wide assortment of vegetarian dishes. Nirvana is a rare find — a romantic, exotic, intimate restaurant serving exceptional food in the heart of Los Angeles.
