Sandwich Of The Week: DMK Burger Bar's Duck & Cover
Following a year-long expedition across America to find the best burgers in the country, David Morton and Michael Kornick opened DMK Burger Bar in November 2009. Since then, they've been raking in the accolades: they were featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, awarded Best Fries In Chicago by Chicago Magazine, named Best Veggie Burger In Chicago by the Chicago Tribune, named one of the 10 best burgers in America by Fox News, and highlighted as one of The Top 10 Best New Burger Spots by Bon Appetit.
As of today, December 15, DMK has debuted their newest creation: the Duck & Cover burger. Comprising one of their signature grass-fed beef patties slathered in foie gras mousse, pickled red onion, cornichons, and truffle salt, all served between two halves of a flaky and buttery croissant, this is one very decadent burger. Pair it with one of their American craft beers on tap, and enjoy a meal that's sure to keep you warm, even during winter in The Windy City. Better move fast though, as this French-inspired showstopper is only around this week, through Sunday December 21.
