New Jersey Man's $1,635 Drunken Uber Bill Paid By Eat Clean Bro Meal Delivery Service

In late February, Kenny Bachman was partying with friends in Morgantown, West Virginia, when he allegedly blacked out and called an Uber to take him all the way home to Gloucester County, New Jersey. According to NJ.com, the passenger woke up two hours into the 300-mile trip, but didn't want to be dropped off in the middle of nowhere, so he told the cabbie to keep driving.

"I don't really drink," Bachman told App.com. "For me to get that out of hand was abnormal."

In total, the final fare came to $1,635.93. The 21-year-old initially set up a GoFundMe campaign to crowdsource money for the cost, but now, a meal delivery service is offering to foot the bill in what could just be a brilliant marketing opportunity (that's working).

"@kenny_bachman you are most definitely a bro, but we stand behind you not driving drunk, no matter how expensive your night turned out to be!" Eat Clean Bro wrote on Instagram, to which Bachman piggybacked on Twitter, "NJ based meal prep company Eat Clean Bro has offered to pay my bill as a thank you for not drunk driving! They have a lot of delivery drivers on the roads and driving safe is important to them."

Eat Clean Bro is a food delivery service founded in January of 2013 that brings fresh chef-prepared meals to those looking to lose weight, build lean muscle mass, or just make the transition to a healthier diet and lifestyle.

Company founder Jamie Giovinazzo saw Bachman's story after it went viral on the web, and decided the kid deserved a break for being responsible and not getting behind the wheel.

"The kid did the right thing," Giovinazzo told App.com. "I'm really glad he didn't get behind the wheel. Even in that state of mind he still made the right choice."

Bachman's GoFundMe account is still open and has raised $650 so far, but he insists it will all go toward Mothers Against Drunk Driving, a charitable organization that works to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support victims of violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking.

While Bachman may have racked up a pretty ridiculous bill whilst in a drunken state, at least he didn't cause any trouble. Have a little laugh with the 10 funniest drunk arrests in the U.S.
