Nearly 70 Restaurants Coming To Village Voice's Eighth Annual Choice Eats Tasting Event

For the past seven years, the Village Voice has showcased some of the city's best restaurants in its annual Choice Eats event. On March 13, the event will be held for the first time at Chelsea's Metropolitan Pavilion, and guests will be able to enjoy unlimited samplings from 68 restaurants along with wine, beer, and spirits.

There are three ticketing tiers for those who still don't have their ticket: General Admission ($65), which grants access from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Early Entry Preview ($85, 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.); and the sold out VIP ($99), which grants entry from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and includes a gift bag and access to a VIP lounge.

The roster of participating restaurants is truly mind-boggling. To name a few: Carlo's Bakery, Coppelia, Delaware & Hudson, Doughnut Plant, Edi & The Wolf, Egg, Fort Defiance, Los Tacos No 1, Recette, Rubirosa, Veselka, Bobwhite Lunch & Supper Counter, Casa Mono and Bar Jamon, Fletcher's Brooklyn Barbecue, The Gorbals, Huertas, Red Hook Lobster Pound, The Meatball Shop, The NoMad, Queens Comfort, Tabata Noodle Restaurant... the list goes on and on, and it includes some of the hottest (and best) restaurants in the city.

So if you're one of those people who has dozens of restaurants on the list of places that you've been wanting to try (and who isn't one of those people), this is a perfect opportunity to not only sample their most popular dishes, but also, in many cases, meet the chefs and owners themselves.

Tickets are running out, so act fast. And if you decide to go, make sure you get there early for a good spot in line. It fills up fast!
