James Beard Foundation's Taste America Coming To Boston October 9
The James Beard Foundation's third annual Taste America is underway, making its way to ten cities, including Charleston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle. The cross-country festival treats guests to walk-around tastings and dinners from some of the city's (and country's) most renowned chefs, and it's rolling into Boston on Friday, October 9.
The "Night of Culinary Stars" will take place at The Langham, and will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a walk-around tasting featuring the cuisine of Tim Cushman, Tony Maws, Cassie Piuma, Ana Sortun, and Justin Shoults. At 7 p.m., guests will take their seats and enjoy a four-course dinner prepared by James beard Award winner Traci Des Jardins, Matt Jennings, and host chef Mark Sapienza. Live and silent auctions will also be held; Proceeds of the evening will support the James Beard Foundation, whose programs include educational initiatives, food industry awards, scholarships to culinary schools, publications, chef advocacy training, thought leader conferences, and dinners and maintenance at Greenwich Village's historic James Beard House.
Tickets to the tasting reception cost $125, and tickets for the full evening begin at $250. Tickets are still on sale, and can be purchased here.
