A perfectly cooked filet is a treat.

When traveling and staying at a resort or hotel, it can be hard to find resorts with enough dining options to allow you to stay on the property. Cava at Renaissance Indian Wells Resort and Spa in Palm Springs is one of six restaurants guests can choose from at the resort and offers all-day dining for all travelers.

I often find that resort restaurants overuse the same ingredients throughout their menus, resulting in bland options where nothing stands out. My girlfriend and I dined at Cava when staying at the Renaissance Indian Wells for a work retreat and were thrilled to have a more enhanced menu for dinner without having to leave the resort.

The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and accompanied a lovely mix of vegetables with mashed potatoes. Prices were on the higher end; some warm bread or extras are warranted for the price but weren't offered. Despite that, the benefit of being able to stay in the resort and enjoy a nice dinner with a glass of cabernet was well worth it.
