A new feature of the Starbucks app, Mobile Order & Pay, will allow customers to do just that — place their orders and pay for them ahead of time.
That means, as long as you’re ordering from a participating Starbucks location, you never need to wait in line to place your order ever again.
After successfully testing the feature in Oregon and then across the Pacific Northwest earlier this year, Starbucks has expanded the feature across more than 7,400 of its company-owned stores. International distribution of the app will follow beginning in October.
“Bringing Mobile Order and Pay to our customers is about meeting their needs of convenience and customization at any time of the day” Adam Brotman, Starbucks chief digital officer, said in a statement. “The fact that it also represents the fastest technology application rollout we have ever done is indicative of the strength of our digital ecosystem, how well it has been received by both our customers and store partners and the impact we think it can have on the future of retail.”
