Domino's In Wales Charges $300k For A Pizza

A 19-year-old in Wales got a big surprise when he realized that Domino's charged him way more than his pizza was worth. Instead of charging $30 for a large cheese pie, the chain accidentally charged Nathaniel Bolwell £178,000, which is roughly $300,000 USD. Bolwell discovered the mistake only after his card was declined at a local supermarket when he should have had more than enough in his account.

The baffled customer expressed his confusion over the situation to Wales Online. "How did it allow Domino's to take all that money?" He said. "Not even the poshest meal in the poshest restaurant would cost anything like that even if I took all my friends and family out." A Domino's spokesperson claimed that the charge was immediately flagged and the funds were reversed back to Bolwell's account.

Bolwell's bank also made up for the confusion by giving the teenager $170 as compensation for any distress or inconvenience caused. All the money has been returned to Bolwell, but his parents said that they'd prefer that he stick to cooking at home from now on.
