The Downtown Rochester Farmers' Market is located in the heart of downtown Rochester, in a parking lot at 3rd and Water Street. It's dog-friendly and there is plenty of parking nearby. Herbs, flowers, handmade items and other non-produce are often offered at the market, as well as other foods like homemade bread. Occasionally, free samples of bread and other goods are also offered by the vendors there.

Eastern Market is a huge hodgepodge of vendors, and so, of course, produce is sold. Check out Eastern Market Produce, H & S Produce Inc., Greg's Fruit & Vegetable Stand and more. Eastern Market is probably the largest "farmers market" of sorts in the Detroit and metro Detroit area, and it is definitely not to be missed. The market used to only be open on Saturdays, but now some parts are open Sundays too. Parking is available nearby as well.

The Royal Oak Farmers Market can be found at the Civic Center, at the corner of E. 11 Mile and Troy Street (across from the Royal Oak library). The market is open on Fridays during the season (May through Christmas time) and on Saturdays year-round. A flea market is also open on Sundays, featuring 100+ vendors on a rotating schedule. The Royal Oak Farmers Market originally opened as a truck market, in 1925, and its present home was constructed in 1927 and opened that year. Since 1997, the city itself has owned and operated it.

The Birmingham Farmers Market is located a short drive from downtown Birmingham, and runs every Sunday through October 19th this year, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It can be found in Public Parking Lot 6 on the east side of N. Old Woodward Road (across from Salvatore Scallopini and Booth Park). Produce, plants and flowers, fresh food and handmade items can be purchased here, and sometimes food trucks can be found as well, such as Frank's hot dog truck and others.

The Warren Farmers' Market is on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it runs through October 26 this year. Free yoga is also provided this year, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (bring a mat or blanket to use). Check the market's website for other special events going on in July and August, as well. The market is a bit smaller than Eastern Market, but because of that, it is easier to navigate and find what you need more quickly. Fresh herbs, handmade pasta and homemade coffees can also sometimes be found at the Warren Farmers' Market.
