Dairy Queen Coming To New York City
I scream, you scream, we all scream for Dairy Queen! America's beloved soft ice cream and fast food chain is finally making its way to the Big Apple, the New York Post is reporting. New York's first Dairy Queen is set to open at 54 West 14th Street and will occupy 2,500 square feet. The space, formerly home to Fabco Shoes, will include both a ground floor and mezzanine and is set to open this spring.
The space, which had an asking rent of $165 per square foot, is located on 14th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Additionally, the famed ice cream conglomerate has plans to expand in New York by opening three or four other storefronts.
While New York City has no shortage of frozen delights, it seems that the public is leaning toward frozen yogurt these days to satisfy their sweet tooths. We look forward to adding some good old fashioned ice cream into the fray.
Will you be ordering a Butterfinger Blizzard this spring?
