Creole Contessa's Lisa Summers
Lisa Summers, Culinary Content Network member and author of the blog Creole Contessa, lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she lets her love of family traditions put a Creole spin on just about everything she makes. Her mission? To let the good times roll... one dish at a time! Here's what she had to say about blogging:
How'd you get started? After eating a meal with my family, my daughter suggested I start a food blog.
Foods you can't live without: Cheese, real butter, and real vanilla.
Food you can't stand: Foods made with fake butter and fake vanilla.
Proudest post: All of them.
Biggest blog blunder: Saying mix well and SEX aside. Stayed on my site for months until a follower told the whole Facebook about it! LOL.
Most memorable comment from a reader: That my dish tasted just like their late grandma's.
Your cooking playlist? Nelly's Hot in Herre!
Food blogs you love: All of them! I just love food and love to see what everyone is cooking and eating!
Food apps you love: FoodGawker.
Best thing about blogging: The food. And trying unique spices.
Worst things about blogging: Nothing.
Recipe you're currently obsessed with: Anything Greek!
What would even your most loyal followers be surprised to learn about you? That my favorite dish is a chopped salad with scratch-made salad dressing.
Five of your all-time favorite posts: Cajun Lasagna, Butter Pecan Bread Pudding, Smoked Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Slow Cooker French Dip, and Korean BBQ Ribs.
