Kick Off Fall In Chicago At Fulton Market Harvest Fest

All hail the lovers of crisp winds, crunchy leaves, and a certain ubiquitous spice blend! Summer in Chicago has come and gone, but fall brings its own fun. Ring in the season this weekend at the Fulton Market Harvest Fest as it brings the neighborhood's best restaurants together, along with demonstrations and book signings from the country's top chefs.

Originally the creation of Chicago darlings Stephanie Izard (Girl & The Goat, Little Goat Diner & Bakery, Duck Duck Goat) and Paul Kahan (One Off Hospitality), Fulton Market Harvest Fest enters its third year with Izard taking the helm completely and curating a knockout lineup of food vendors. The neighborhood is known to be spoiled for choice when it comes to standout restaurants, and attendees will get to sample that bounty. With much-lauded places like Monteverde, City Mouse, and Gus's Fried Chicken offering up dishes, you'll want to come hungry.

This fest is truly for the foodies; the culinary demo stage will host a stunning showing of chefs from Chicago and around the country. Budding chefs, prepare to take notes as Hugh Acheson, Kristen Kish, Rick Bayless, and more share their tips, tricks, and insider knowledge about some of their favorite dishes. Who knows? You might even get pulled on-stage for ravioli lesson with Fabio Viviani!

The experiences extend beyond the streets for this festival. Dedicated enthusiasts of food and fall alike can take advantage of expert panels, specialty classes, and, of course, unique meals all weekend long. Whether you'd like to try your hand at oyster shucking, learn about the coffees of Tokyo, or explore the pairing of beer and chocolate, Fulton Market Harvest Fest has something you can sink your teeth into. The full menu of experiences can be found on their website.

Fulton Market Harvest Fest will run from Friday, September 14th through Sunday, September 16th. A $10 donation to Pilot Light is suggested for entry.
