Comedian Reggie Watts Headlines Tour De Fat Bike Festival In Golden Gate Park

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — The Tour de Fat bicycle and beer festival held in Golden Gate Park Saturday features entertainment from comedian-musician Reggie Watts, New Belgium beers and bicycle-related activities.

The free event features "bikes, beer, and bemusement," according to event organizers, and goes until 5 p.m.

The event kicked off Saturday morning with a costumed bike parade through Golden Gate Park. Additional cycling-related activities, such as the Slow Bike Race and fire-jumping bike acts, continue all day.

The festivities take place in Golden Gate Park's Lindley Meadow, near 30th Avenue and John F Kennedy Drive.

Proceeds from Saturday's festival will support bicycle advocacy work of two non-profit organizations, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council, organizers said.

Various musical artists, such as The Handsome Little Devils and The Reals band are scheduled to perform throughout the day.

Comedian Reggie Watts was scheduled to perform at 4 p.m.
