Clif Bar Unveils New Gluten-Free Snack Bars

To commemorate 20 years of creating healthy and organic products, Clif Bar launched a new line of gluten-, soy- and dairy-free snack bars this Thursday. The Clif Kit's Organic line is the newest addition to the growing trend of gluten-free products, one that with pizza giant Domino's recent debut of gluten-free crust nearly a month ago, you could argue has officially gone mainstream. Clif Kit's Organic bars join other gluten-free snack bars like Divine Food's Boomi Bar, and KIND Healthy Snacks products.

The idea was inspired by a childhood filled with organic, self-grown produce for Clif Bar co-CEO Kit Crawford. Kit's Organic line is available in four flavors, Berry Almond, Cashew, Chocolate Almond Coconut and Peanut Butter. Like all food from Clif Bar, Kit's Organic is free of trans fats, partially hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, and preservatives.

The Clif Kit's Organic line is available nationwide in natural food and select grocery stores. The suggested retail price for the new snack bars is $1.59.
