Cheers! Pa. Named Among Top States In The Country For Beer
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Raise a glass to this one: Pennsylvania has been ranked the eighth best state for beer.
The latest ranking comes from Thrillist, but Philadelphia has previously been listed among the top cities for suds by GQ, the Huffington Post and CNN Travel.
Citing Philly's numerous breweries – from Yuengling, the country's oldest brewery, to Yards and even Iron City ("one of the world's most lovable crappy beers") – the Thrillist piece puts the Keystone State at eighth, just ahead of New York and right behind Wisconsin.
Delaware didn't do half bad either, earning a semi-respectable ranking of 19th, but New Jersey came in at 42nd.
In case you were wondering, Oregon came in first.
