Buckhead Atlanta Shopping District Makes Its Debut In Georgia After 10 Years Of Anticipation
After ten years of waiting, hoping and even more waiting, Buckhead Atlanta shopping district finally opened last month to the excitement and delight of locals and tourists alike. While only five stores were open to guests on opening day, there are now over 14 shops, and that number will continue to grow over the coming months, with new stores opening every week. Luxury focused, the esplanade is filled with names like Etro, Helmut Lang, Hermès and Moncler, and offers fine dining and community events as well as concierge service, personal shoppers and valet services. For those looking to stay in the area, Buckhead Atlanta will soon be renting office spaces and some of the most luxurious residences in the area, offering everything from three-bedroom family homes to high-rise penthouses.
"This means so much to the city of Atlanta," Mayor Kasim Reed said of the decade-long project. "Boy, did you get it done. The city of Atlanta and Buckhead are back." While the center is still in negotiations to bring bigger names on board, it seems as if they have secured the relocation of Jonathan Adler from Westside Provisions District, and there are whispers that it will also be home to the first standalone Dior boutique in Atlanta.
