Breaking Bad & Sherlock Sweep The Emmys, Plus More Surprising Moments!
Last night's Emmys saw some surprising losses (two words: True Detective) and some not so surprising wins (we all knew Breaking Bad would get some love after its final season, but who guessed Sherlock would be the biggest winner? Apparently not even the two stars since neither Martin Freeman nor Benedict Cumberbatch were there to accept their awards.). And can we all figure out just who exactly still watches The Big Bang Theory, because Jim Parsons won for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series again for the fourth year in a row—not to say Parsons isn't good (he's certainly the show's saving grace), but he was up against Ricky Gervais for Derek and Louis C.K. for Louie.
Overall though, the night was pretty good and had some really great moments—like Gwen Stefani not knowing how to pronounce Stephen Colbert (it's Colbort, apparently) or Bryan Cranston and Julia Louis-Dreyfus' intense make out moment.
