The Edgar Allan Poe Bust project, funded by Kickstarter campaign over the summer, culminates in the unveiling of the bronze work at the Boston Public Library on the evening before Halloween. For one of the spookiest writers of all time, this is the perfect time to unveil such an honor. With all of the notable authors that come from Massachusetts, it might be easy to forget that sinister Edgar Allan Poe was born right here in Boston. This bust by sculptor Bryan Moore will serve as a wonderful reminder to the city of Poe's local roots. Witnessing the historical statue unveiling is a great way to celebrate Halloween without all of the hassle of dressing up.

For the seventh year in a row, Umphrey's McGee rock band will be playing a Halloween show at the House of Blues in Boston's Fenway neighborhood. The ever-popular concert is quickly becoming one of the city's favorite October traditions. The rock show will include live band mash-ups and Halloween-themed jams to keep the party going all night. If you already have plans for the night of Halloween, fear not, Umphrey's McGee is playing a second show on Saturday, November 1st. This show will have all of the energy of the Friday show, but without the opening act.
