December 5 marks the locally produced premiere of "Mary Poppins." Based on the popular Disney film and the book by P.L. Travers, this is the tale of a nanny who gets things done with mostly common sense, sprinkled with a dash of magic. Youngsters as well as adults seem to love the music including such classics as "Step in Time" and "Chim-Chim-Cheree." With a touch of magic in the stagecraft as well as the tale, your spirits won't be the only thing soaring in this production.
