The Dali Museum has the title of being the largest collection of Spanish painter Salvador Dali's original works in the United States. This fall, beginning November 8, the museum is presenting an unparalleled exhibit titled "Picasso/ Dali, Dali/ Picasso." It will feature dozens of rarely loaned works by Pablo Picasso from over 25 international museums. This exhibit will allow art lovers an opportunity to examine the relationship between Dali's works and Picasso's — two Spaniards who are among the most influential of 20th century artists.

"Poseidon and the Sea: Myth, Cult and Daily Life" will be on display until November 30, 2014. National and international art museums, such as the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and the National Archaeological Museum of Florence, Italy, loaned major art works from a variety of artists to the Tampa Museum of Art to display in its new building. Patrons will gain an insight into the realm of Poseidon, which infiltrated nearly every part of the ancient Mediterranean world, from mythology to cloth-making.

"My Generation" is a breakthrough exhibit comprised entirely of young Chinese artists and curated by Barbara Pollack. These post-Mao Zedong generation artists have grown up in the era of the One-child policy as well as the massive industrialization and globalization that China has experienced in the past 20 years. Their unique culture inspired incredible artwork, which portrays the feelings of alienation, self-definition, cynicism and rebellion that were their constant companions throughout their young lives. The museum will display this exhibit until September 28, 2014.

"Richard Beckman: Outside the Curve of Reason"

Richard Beckman, who died in 2004, broke the mold when he created organic and geometric art forms to explore the balance between the mind and body. His work presents the duality of the inner and outer, order and chaos and positive and negative, blurring the lines more and more with each successive piece. Beckman received national recognition for his creations in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Art lovers can enjoy this exhibit until September 6, 2014.

"The Pottery of Wedgwood" features the pottery and designs from arguably the most influential ceramics worker in the past 250 years, Josiah Wedgwood (1730-1795). Even if you don't recognize his name, chances are you would recognize his designs — namely, Queen's Ware, Black Basalt and Jasperware — which have found homes on the tables of monarchs, heads of state and the world's most prestigious hotels, including the Tampa Bay Hotel. His works are an ideal balance of utilitarianism and delicate beauty. This exhibit features over 80 examples of his 19th-century creations and can be viewed until December 31st, 2014.
