Homemade Burgers: A Summer Cookout Bucket List
Grilling season is here, and there’s no doubt you’ll be eating — and making — lots of delicious homemade burgers. The keys to a good burger are to keep it simple and to use quality ingredients, but if you’re looking for a recipe to take that hamburger patty from good to great, we’ve got a few must-tries. We’ll be making each of these delicious homemade burgers at least once this summer — how about you?
Pickled Jalapeño Burger
There’s nothing better than tangy pickled jalapeños — except maybe a burger topped with them. This burger gets extra heat from the jalapeños mixed into the beef and the pepper jack cheese melted on top. Make the pickled jalapeños at least a day in advance for the best flavor.
The Cadillac Burger
Nothing fancy here, just the classic ingredients: fresh ground beef, melty American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and hickory-smoked bacon.
Bourbon Barbecue Sauce Burger
There’s no better way to keep a beef burger juicy than sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. Top yours with Cheddar cheese and crispy bacon for the ultimate grilled burger.
The White Castle Slider
There’s a reason people go crazy for these onion-y sliders: They’re crazy delicious. Make them at home with this easy recipe.
Melty Mozzarella Burger
If you love chicken parmesan, then you’ll love this burger. It’s topped with melted mozzarella cheese and chunky tomato sauce and served on a toasty bun.
