I love all Macayo's restaurants but this one in Scottsdale was one of the best I've been to. The decor is like a little Mexican village, with bright colors. I love it! The food is as always, delicious! I had the machaca beef Chimichanga with refried beans. It comes covered in red sauce and is topped with lettuce, tomato, guacamole (which cost extra) and sour cream. The burrito was very tender, as was the meat. If a restaurant has tender meat, that is a selling point for me. I never go back to a restaurant with tough meat. Try Macayo's if you ever come to Phoenix. There are at least 7 that I know of. As I said, this one on Scottsdale Rd. in Scottsdale was one of the best. The other ones that are great too, are the on 95th ave and Thomas. 51st ave and Bell Rd. My least favorite would be the one on 19th ave and Thunderbird. It has good days and bad days, and is also much smaller than the other ones. It is one of the original Macayo's and needs some remodeling. Still good, but the others I mention are better.
