Legendary actress Cicely Tyson will reprise her Tony Award winning role in "The Trip To Bountiful" on the Ahmanson Theatre stage beginning this week. The Pulitzer Prize winning play, written by Horton Foote, showcases an elderly widow returning to her hometown, Bountiful, Texas to restore her dignity. Co-starring known actors and celebrities Blair Underwood and Vanessa L. Williams, the stellar performances are matched by the exceptional and inspirational tale.

LA Theatre Works is opening its 40th Anniversary Season with "Under Milk Wood," by famed Welsh poet Dylan Thomas who would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year. The "play for voices" set in the little fishing village of Llareggub will include an all Welsh or Welsh-American cast including Kate Burton (Scandal), Laura Evans (BBC's The Basil Brush Show), John Francis (Invasion Roswell), Jason Hughes (Midsomer Murders), Christopher Monger (director, The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain), and Matthew Rhys (The Americans). The audio will be recorded live in front of an audience.
